Aquatic Invasive Species NEW! (Under Construction)
Friends of Minsi Lake is a committee of dedicated people working together under Northampton County Junior Conservation School and with the community to improve fish habitat, fishing success and recreational opportunities and access for all at Minsi Lake.

With the lake completely drawn down by the Commonwealth for a dam rehabilitation project, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity now exists to build hundreds of habitat structures on the empty lakebed to improve fish populations and fish health and to improve angler success after the lake is refilled and stocked again with fish.

The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission developed a Habitat Plan for Friends of Minsi Lake and our project partners to improve fish habitat and fishing success for everyone who fishes Minsi Lake. Your donation in any amount will help us raise $108,325 to build 851 habitat structures the plan calls for. Won’t you please donate today? We’ve already raised over $35,000 for the project! Any donation of $250 or more will be rewarded with a youth scholarship to this year’s weeklong Northampton County Junior Conservation School in July.

After the habitat project is completed, Friends of Minsi Lake will work with community partners to design and construct accessible fishing piers, kayak launches, picnic tables, grills, trails and restrooms for everyone who visits Minsi Lake, regardless of their physical abilities.
